The man

After studying guitar at the conservatory, Patrick Koopman started out in 1986 as a professional (bass) guitar-builder. He has a large workshop in Weurt, near Nijmegen, where he builds and repairs (bass) guitars and where customers are welcome after making an appointment.

In 2004 and 2005, Patrick was asked to serve as guitar tech for Steve Vai during the rehearsals and performances of Vai's "The Aching Hunger. Steve Vai and the Metropole Orchestra" projects.
